System

A System bet is a bet with bet insurance. System bets must contain at least 3 events.

When placing a System bet, you choose how many correct selections you need to win. The number of selections that determine a System win is called the size.

What makes a System bet?

A System is made up of Accumulators. At least one Accumulator in the System must be predicted correctly to win.

The total bet amount in a System is divided equally between all of its Accumulator bets. The minimum bet amount is equal to the number of Accumulator bets in the System, but can't be less than INR 50. The System winnings are equal to the sum of the winnings of the Accumulator bets included in it.

Let's take a look at the 2 out of 3 System

A System bet can include any selections, such as totals, handicaps and player statistics.

There are three events in this System. You'll win if at least two of the events were predicted correctly. To calculate the winning options, break down the System into three Accumulators.

The total bet amount in a System is divided equally between all of its Accumulator bets. This bet consists of three INR 1,000 Accumulator bets.

Let's see your winnings depending on the various outcomes.

  • If two or three events are not predicted correctly, then all Accumulator bets in the System will lose.
  • If one prediction for one of the matches turns out to be wrong, then the two Accumulator bets including it don't win. You receive winnings for one Accumulator.
  • If all three events were predicted correctly, you'll receive the winnings for three Accumulator bets: 429 + 448 + 320 = 1,197.

What you need to know about System size?

System size is the ratio of the number of selections that are needed to win, to the number of events in the System.

The size is specified as 2 out of 3, 3 out of 5, 7 out of 10. A 2 out of 3 System bet means that the bet has 3 events, 2 of which need to be predicted correctly for the bet to win.

The larger the size and number of Accumulator bets in a System bet, the larger the minimum bet size. The lowest limit for a 2 out of 3 System bet is 50, while an 8 out of 16 has a minimum of 12,870.

System size restrictions

  • The maximum number of events in a System is 16.
  • You can't create a System where only 1 event needs to be predicted correctly, such as 1 out of 10, or 1 out of 3.
  • You also can't create a System where all the events need to be predicted correctly, for example, 3 out of 3, or 10 out of 10.

For a System of 5 events, you can choose different sizes, such as 2 out of 5, 3 out of 5, or 4 out of 5. The more events needed for a System to win, the higher its odds.

How to calculate the number of events in an Accumulator

The number of events in each Accumulator is the same as the first number in the System size. In a 5 out of 7 System, for example, the Accumulators consist of 5 events.

To calculate the number of Accumulator bets, use the formula:

m! ÷ (n! × (m - n)!)

  • m – number of events in the System
  • n – number of events that must be predicted correctly for the System to win
  • ! – factorial

For example, a 5 out of 7 System bet will include 21 Accumulators:

7! ÷ (5! × (7 - 5)!) = 5040 ÷ (120 × 2!) = 5040 ÷ 240 = 21

We also made a table that helps determine the number of Accumulator bets in the System, without using the formula.

The red vertical column is the number of events in the System, and the blue horizontal row is the number of correct selections needed to win

To calculate the number of Accumulator bets, select the row with the number of events in the System, and the column with the number of selections needed to win. The number of Accumulator bets is shown in the intersection of the column and row.

How to calculate System winnings?

The easiest way is to use the

System calculator. The calculator helps calculate the number of Accumulator bets in the System and their winnings. The calculator is only available on the desktop version of the site.

In order to calculate the potential winnings of the system and number of combinations, indicate the number of events in your system, its size, odds and bet amount. For events settled as returns, enter odds of 1.00.

A System bet can lose you funds even if it wins

The amount of winnings is determined by the Accumulator bets which make it up. If the amount of the bet and odds of the Accumulators with winning events are small, then the bet may win even with a negative amount, if the conditions are met.

You bet INR 900 on a 2 out of 3 System bet with odds of 1.50, 2.00 and 1.60. Let's break it down to Accumulators:

  • 1.50 and 2.00, bet amount – INR 300
  • 2.00 and 1.60, bet amount – INR 300
  • 1.50 and 1.60, bet amount – INR 300

The events with odds of 1.50 and 1.60 won, and the event with odds of 2.00 lost. Out of the three Accumulators, only one of them won. Let's calculate how much you won:

1.50 × 1.60 × 300 = 2.40 × 300 = INR 720

The one winning option earned you INR 720 on the INR 900 you bet. Technically the bet won, but you ended up in the red.

What's the difference between a System and an Accumulator bet?

  • The maximum number of events in a System bet is 16 (30 in an Accumulator bet).
  • Not all events in a System bet need to be predicted correctly for the bet to win. You choose the degree of risk and determine how many events need to win for the bet to win. All events need to be predicted correctly in an Accumulator bet, otherwise the bet will not win.
  • Also, an Accumulator bet can consist of two events, while a System bet must have at least three. This is due to the size limitation: you cannot bet on a System where just one or all events need to pass to win.
  • System bet winnings will always be less. This is because a System consists of Accumulator bets whose winnings are summed up. In an Accumulator bet, the bet odds are multiplied.

With a bet of INR 1,000, the maximum System bet winnings would be INR 2,429, while the winnings of an Accumulator bet would be INR 3,720
